Cult Chimera

"Cult Chimera" is a feature length film about a fictional bible-belt community in Texas. Themes of place, isolation, and religion are highlighted in the high school stories of the ensemble cast of characters that include a group of marginalized boys who are fans of heavy metal music, an Asian-American family and their daughter who vies to be popular, and a pastor's abused daughter who has a chance to become homecoming queen. Overall, the idea of place and how it is tied to the identity of a community shapes the stories of the characters whose destinies are inextricably bound by the confines, physical and otherwise, of their small town in the vast Texas plains.
